Sacraments

Baptism
Parents interested in the Sacrament of Baptism for their infant or child should call the Parish Office to make arrangements. We encourage new members to attend Mass and become active in the life of the parish. You will connect with other young families and enrich your faith by becoming involved in parish life. To learn more or to schedule a baptism, please call the parish office.

First time parents and those who have not attended a Baptism Preparation session in more than 3 years, are required to attend a Baptism Preparation Class prior to having a child baptized. This class may be completed prior to the baby's birth. Please call the Parish Office to register for the Baptism Prep Class.

Godparents need to be at least 16 years of age, confirmed and living a life of faith. A baptized non-Catholic may be chosen, in addition to the Catholic sponsor. Godparents are welcome to attend the Baptism Preparation class also.

Reconciliation
Confessions are heard at St. Paul the Apostle on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month at 2:45 p.m. or by appointment. Children who have reached the age of reason (around the age of 7) are invited to experience God's love and mercy through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The Christian Formation Program offers a family based preparation for the children. Children must have at least one formal year of Christian Formation before the sacramental year of preparation. For more information, contact the Parish Office.

Eucharist
The Eucharist is celebrated during all of our Mass times. Please see our website home page and the latest parish bulletin for Mass times. Children who have reached the age of reason (around the age of 7) are invited to the "table of the Lord" through special lessons which prepare them for their First Holy Communion. The Christian Formation Program offers a family based preparation program for these children. Children must have at least one formal year of Christian Formation before their sacramental year. For more information, contact the Parish Office.

RCIA
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
This formation program welcomes any adult interested in learning and becoming part of the Catholic faith. The RCIA candidates meet bi-weekly with the RCIA Formation Team and their sponsor to share personal faith experiences and to seek answers to questions about the Catholic faith. The program culminates at the Easter Vigil, with acceptance of the RCIA candidates into the Catholic Church.

All parishioners are invited to become an RCIA Sponsor and assist a candidate on their yearlong journey of faith. Contact the Parish Office for more information.

Marriage
Couples planning marriage at St. Paul Church are asked to contact the pastor to arrange for pre-marriage preparation. This should be done at least six months before the desired date for the marriage. At least one of the parties must be a registered member of St. Paul. As part of the marriage preparation process, couples are required to meet with the Pastor, meet with a St. Paul FOCCUS couple and attend an Archdiocesan retreat day. On Saturday, marriages are scheduled no later than 1:00 p.m. Marriages can be scheduled on any day of the week except Sundays. Please contact Fr. Yamid at 262-886-0530 or by email: blancoy@archmil.org.

Anointing of the Sick
The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is offered to persons confined to their home or to a nursing home. If you know of someone who would like to receive this sacrament, please call the pastor to arrange for him to visit. For those able to get to church, Anointing of the Sick takes place the first Tuesday of every month after the morning Mass, or call the parish office at 886-0531 to arrange for the Sacrament.
