Benefit for Michael Zelenski ~ Better Known as “Z

Many of you know our faithful parishioner and local St. Catherine’s High School teacher, Mike Zelenski. In October of 2009, Mike became very ill and has been hospitalized in Milwaukee since that time. Through the power of prayer, Mike continues his long rehabilitation process.
St. Catherine’s High School has asked St. Paul (where Mike & Phyllis are members) and St. Lucy Parish (where Phyllis teaches 2nd grade) to team up on a benefit for Mr. Z on April 18th. Plan to attend this fun day, which will help Mike and his family during this difficult time. The event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and includes a delicious Spaghetti Dinner, silent auctions, basket raffles, 50/50 raffle, bake sale and entertainment.

Tickets are for sale in the St. Paul Parish Office. Advance adult price is $9.00 ($10 at the door) and Children’s advance price is $4.00 ($5.00 at the door). Children under 4 are free. Tickets may also be purchased at St. Lucy Parish Office or by going online to www.saintcats.org. To donate a raffle prize or gift basket contact Sue Craanen at scraanen@saintcats.org. To make an online donation go to the St. Cat’s website and click on the link for the “Benefit for Z.”

Stepping On

In Wisconsin, falls are the leading cause of injury and deaths among older adults. Of those that fall, about 50% of all seniors who do fall do not resume independent living. Stepping On is based on the latest research in fall prevention. Participants will learn simple exercises that are proven to reduce the risk of falling. Participant fee is $10 for the 7 weeks course. St. Paul the Apostle will be hosting a series of Stepping On Classes during the Spring and Summer months. Pre-registration is required. Call Ruth at 638-6632 for more information.
